VPR FACILITIES USE AGREEMENT

REQUIRED FOR ALL MEMBERS

In order to use the VPR Club facilities you must be a member in good standing. Our insurance allows for NO EXCEPTIONS.

The following practices are in place to ensure an enjoyable and safe visit for all members. All gates must be closed and locked when leaving the riding/camping area and clubhouse must be locked, and lights turned off when the last member leaves the grounds. (check twice please!) Check the VPR website prior to coming to the grounds, as there are activities scheduled that might be closed to members - www.vistapalomarriders.org. Announcements are emailed/texted. Be sure your records are up to date. Announcements may also be made on the bulletin board on the clubhouse patio. Always bring your cell phones. Keep a record of the gate code in your phone. Except for events closed to members, you have open access to VPR. If you wish to camp overnight, please notify a board member to make them aware you will be on the grounds. If the arenas are prepared and locked until show day, that information will be posted on the website and an email/text notice will be sent to you in advance. Following a heavy rain, the arenas will be closed to protect the arenas and avoid injury to rider and horse. Check the website for arena closures and conditions. It remains your responsibility to check for safe footing. The arenas are groomed Friday mornings weather permitting. Do not enter arena when hoses or sprinklers are present. The sprinklers are on timers and set up for night watering. Do not turn on the water in the arenas. No ATV’s or similar vehicles are allowed. When you use a stall or tie your horse to your trailer, please clean up after your horse by putting manure in the manure pile located by the dumpster. Do NOT put manure in the creek. Do NOT put manure in the trash or recycle. MEMBERS MUST STAY ON SITE WHEN HORSES ARE STALLED OR TIED. You are welcome to use any of the obstacle equipment but please return them to where you found them. NO lunging or turn outs are allowed in the main or warm up arena. Do not tie your horse to arena fencing. Tie only to your trailer or the hitching posts. You cannot leave the property and leave your horse, dog or minor child unattended. No off-leash dogs. Dogs must be kept on a maximum of a 9’ leash or inside the camper, truck, horse trailer or appropriate crate. Pick up after your dog and do not leave it unattended. Any Junior Rider under the age of 18 must always be supervised by an adult VPR member when on VPR grounds. When riding a horse, all Junior Riders must wear a helmet. Trainers/non-trainers may not conduct individual lessons, group lessons or any riding instruction on VPR grounds, even if you are a member. If injury or property damage occurs, after obtaining appropriate care, contact a Board Member. These important numbers are located on an Incident Report which is located on the patio Announcement Board. Please fill this out and leave in the Bulletin Board case. If you see or are aware of a hazard or something in need of repair, if possible, fix it or notify a VPR Board member. Names are posted on the bulletin board on the patio. The river trail is private property. Ride it at your own risk. To ensure that only VPR members have access to our facility do NOT give the combination to non-members. Non-members are not allowed on VPR property, not even with a VPR member escort. This restriction is due to our liability insurance. Comply with all VPR Club policies and By-Laws which are located on our website.
